Welcome to the Manufacturing Innovation Laboratory (MI-Lab)

We are located in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. Our lab performs multi-disciplinary research that combines manufacturing with material science, thermal science, and computer science for broad applications in industry and healthcare. We aim at fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes to stimulate future research and development. We emphasize both experimental work and numerical modeling to explore the problems. Our current research interests are grouped into additive manufacturing (also known as 3D printing) and subtractive manufacturing (also known as machining.) See Research page to learn more.
