Welcome to the Manufacturing Innovation Laboratory

(MI-Lab)

MI-lab ("my lab") is part of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. We conduct multidisciplinary research in manufacturing, integrating materials science, mechanics, thermo-fluids, and AI technologies. Our work has broad applications across industries, including healthcare. Our mission is to advance the fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes, fostering innovation and future research. Our research themes include 1) Advanced Machining, 2) AI-based process monitoring, 3) Additive Manufacturing, and 4) Surgical Training. Visit our website to learn more examples about them.
